In Academic Program, law students of Korea and Japan, who hope for peace in Asia, will deepen mutual understanding about the issues in which there are many differences in values or recognition between the two countries, and will get closer to the solution of the issues. In addition, by facing the differences between their insistences on the common issues, respecting and understanding each other under the universal philosophy on law, the two will get closer to each other to solve the issues and it will lead to build up an essential friendship.

In this program, we will try to understand the social and cultural backgrounds, such as history or thought, of problems which have many differences on values or recognition　between the two countries. Based on these, we, law students of Korea and Japan, will discuss the problems constructively.

Korea and Japan are so close geographically that we can see each other with a telescope in a sunny day, and having a strong relationship in many areas, such as politics, economics and culture, we feel an affinity with each other. But on the other hand, between the two, there are many problems which occur because we don't understand the differences of the values and recognition between each other. Such perception gaps cause unnecessary conflicts between us.

We believe, that to have the participants deepen their mutual understanding, built real friendship through the discussions, and enter society, will be a step towards the fullfilment of the peace and equality in Asia.
