Korea is one of the most familiar and closest countries for Japan. It’s not only geographically but culturally and historically.

However, some conflicts remain between Japan and Korea that are hard to solve.

Why can’t the two countries come closer?
What can we do for a better future of the two countries as law students?

I believe the source of the conflicts is misunderstanding and the lack of comprehension of each other’s situations, values and backgrounds.

I also believe what we can do and what we should do is coming to know how delightful and important it is to understand and appreciate each other through this ST.

To achieve this goal, we are going to offer several programs so that we can experience mutual understanding and appreciation based on clear comprehension of the differences between us. The programs include table discussions about issues between Japan and Korea, cultural exchanges to understand our cultural backgrounds and entertainment programs to provide a pleasant time. I believe they will bring deep, continuous friendship among the participants over the differences.

I hope this Study Trip will be the first step for the brilliant future of Asia.
